On Tuesdays (March 11 - April 8) at 2 p.m., Dean Ansley will lead a book study on Barbara Brown Taylor’s Learning to Walk in the Darkness. Taylor is a farmer, teacher, writer, and Episcopal priest, who was once named one of the ten most effective preachers in the English-speaking world. Working from the premise that “literal darkness is both the trigger and the metaphor” for all the other kinds of darkness in our lives, she invites the reader to explore our inclination either to hide or to turn on a light in our dark times, rather than learning what the darkness can teach us. In the bible, she says, God has a habit of showing up in the dark.
